The Kindergarten Diagnostic Instrument-Second Edition (KDI-2) is a comprehensive screening instrument designed to assess developmental readiness skills in children 4-6 years of age. Sub-tests include concept mastery, number skills, general information, visual discrimination, visual memory, memory for sentences, vocabulary, phonemic awareness, body awareness, visual-motor integration, form and letter identification, verbal associations, and gross motor skills. This test is administered the February before kindergarten. The test dates for 2017 are:
Monday, February 6, 2017 or Tuesday, February 7, 2017. All incoming kindergarten students must be tested on one of those dates. Additional testing may be also be required at a later date.
