Catholic Schools Week

At Christ the King, we celebrate Catholic Schools Week by showing our spirit for the school! Each day, students are allowed to wear something other than their school uniform. This year, Catholic Schools Week was celebrated Sunday, January 29 – Saturday, February 4. Here was the line-up of events for the week:

Sunday, January 29 (11:30am – 2:00pm) – OPEN HOUSE: Stop in to see us, meet the teachers, and take a tour!

Monday, January 30 – CELEBRATING STUDENTS: Students will come dressed as their favorite book character. 3rd Grade Invite-a-Friend is from 8:30-9:30am.

Tuesday, January 31 – CELEBRATING THE NATION: Students may wear red, white, and blue or their favorite American team’s jersey. 2nd Grade Invite-a-Friend is from 8:30-9:30am.

Wednesday, February 1 – CELEBRATING VOCATIONS & 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL: Wacky Wednesday Accessories (must be removed for mass.)  1st Grade Invite-a-Friend from 8:30-9:30am.

Thursday, February 2 – CELEBRATING COMMUNITY: Throwback Thursday – students may dress from a decade of their choice. Pre-K Invite-a-Friend from 8:30-9:30am.

Friday, February 3 – CELEBRATING FACULTY, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS: Dress down day (may wear jeans or appropriate athletic pants.) Kindergarten Invite-a-Friend from 8:30-9:30am.

Saturday, February 4 – LIGHT OF LEARNING MASS

  • All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend 5:00pm mass to celebrate Catholic Education. Our school choir will be singing, and our middle school students will be altar servers, lectors and gift bearers. Please join us on Saturday evening to recognize Mrs. Terry, the recipient of this year’s award!
