Well, today it began. I collected the first of the kids’ books. I am going to have the kids slowly, over the course of the week, bring things home so that on Friday, they aren’t overwhelmed with stuff.
We’re finishing up our self-directed Science today and tomorrow.
A few things to remember:
- The Poetry Slam is tomorrow, so please have your child practice the poem that is to be shared tonight and bring the poetry book to school tomorrow.
- If you haven’t already sent it in, please send in a self addressed, stamped envelope for your child.
- If you haven’t already sent them in, your child WILL need a rag that can be thrown away and a Magic Eraser for cleaning on Friday.
If your child still has not finished his/her hand compliments for our compliment books, he/she must finish tonight. Tomorrow, we will pass out our hands to be pasted in everyone’s individual books, and it will be hurtful if a child doesn’t have any (or just a few) to pass out. These books are an inclusive and loving way to close our year, and I really want everyone to be able to participate.
Have a great afternoon!
