First and foremost, I made a mistake on Saint times on Thursday. They will begin at 8:15 on Thursday rather than 9:15. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Also, please remember that 4th graders are dressing up in their costumes for Mass on Thursday at 1:45. If you can come, I’d recommend arriving a bit early, as seating will be tight.
In Reading this week, we will be studying folktales and urban legends. We talked today about what makes a folktale, a folktale. We read a folktale today that comes from post-Civil War African-American culture called “Tailypo”. Tomorrow, we’ll compare it to a similar, more modern folktale called “Hairy Toe”.
