This week we finished up our unit on the Earth. We talked about all that the earth provides for us; food and a place to live. We talked about animals of the earth and where they live. We talked about the weather of our earth as well as the seasons. We were very blessed to have Mrs. Weppler come talk to our class about weather and she did a fun science experiment with us too! Thanks Mrs. Weppler! We wrapped up our unit this week by talking about taking care of the earth. We are called by God to take of our earth and all of its inhabitants. We made an Earth Day promise to reuse, reduce, and recycle!
Next week we will begin our final unit of the year, living things. We will learn about living things and non-living things, plant growth, and the butterfly life cycle. You may have already heard that our caterpillars arrived this week! They are already getting noticeably bigger. We will get to observe and document the changes that our caterpillars will go through to become butterflies.
